Hi McCall second grade family!! My name is Naomi Self, and I am so excited to be joining you for the adventure of second grade. 

College(s): Roberts Wesleyan College

Teaching Experience: This is my first year at McCall, but this will be my 9th year teaching. I previously taught special education in Hawaii for four years before moving and spending the last four years teaching at Dallas ISD. I have spent most of my teaching career in 2nd and 3rd grade.

About Me: My name is Naomi Self, and I'm so excited to be teaching second grade this year! I was born and raised in New York, and attended Roberts Wesleyan University. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education.  I got married this past October to my Baylor-obsessed husband.  We have four dogs (I know!!) who we love and adore. They do keep us on our toes, so we are always on the move!! When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends (plus my puppies)!

I believe we are teaching the future leaders of the world and I want to make sure they are set up for success. Feel free to reach out anytime- I am always here to support you and your child. Here's to a great year in second grade!
